Unveiling of the ICC Annual Giving Tree Raises 25K!

On August 15th, 2009 at 11am, ICC seniors, members, parents and children gathered in the main lobby for the unveiling of the ICC Annual Giving Tree. People gathered around with hot chai and Parle-G biscuits, listening to the vision of the ICC Senior who helped fund the cost of the tree to create a simple yet effective way for the community show their support.

With a variety of leaves, fruits and stones, members who purchased in the pre-sale period had their names, names of loved ones, names in memory of or in honor of engraved for everyone to see for as little as $125. Of particular note is the outpouring of the community to support this initiative -- our $1 dollar donors, a campaign started by out ICC Seniors, raised $1500 by 1500 people to purchase a brick. After the unveiling of the tree, the ICC Jollywood Dance troupe danced two songs, waiving Indian flags in support of Indian independence day.
